Statement of Faith

  1. We believe there is one and only one true and living God who has made Himself known to man as God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit.
  2. We believe Jesus Christ is the eternal Son of God and that he took upon Himself the form of a man by means of the virgin birth and that his death on the cross served as an atonement for our sins. We believe He was crucified, buried, and resurrected.
  3. We believe the Holy Spirit is the Promise of the Father, our Comforter, sent to convict the world of sin, indwell in the believer, bestow spiritual fits to the Church, produce the fruit of the Spirit in our live, and empower us to live a holy life. We believe the baptism of the Holy Spirit is a gift available to all believers.
  4. We believe that the Scriptures were written by human beings divinely inspired by the Holy Spirit. We accept eh Scriptures as the authority for our individual and communal lives.
  5. We believe human beings were created in the image of God, through disobedience sinned and fell, and that the entire human races hares in the resulting sinful nature.
  6. We believe that salvation is the gift of God's grace received through a personal relationship with Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior.
  7. We believe the Church is the body of baptized believers who share a common bond formed b the fact that they have believed in Jesus Christ as the Son of God.
  8. We believe in the ordinances of Baptism by immersion and the observance of the Lord's Supper.
  9. We believe Jesus Christ will return to this earth in the last day to judge the quick and the dead. We believe those who have believed in Jesus Christ will spend eternity with Him.

Statement of Purpose

  1. Preaching the gospel.
    We will take every opportunity to share the gospel of Jesus Christ and to offer the plan of salvation to those who do no know him.
  2. Practical teaching of the Word of God.
    We will teach the Word of God by precept and example.
  3. Making disciples.
    We are committed to helping the saints grow in their discipleship through nurture, encouragement, teaching, counseling and a system of responsible accountability.
  4. Worshipping God in spirit and in truth.
    We are committed to daily living that is an act of worship that glorifies God.
  5. Prayer.
    We are committed to laying a foundation of prayer for this church and its ministries.
  6. Praising God.
    We will be quick to praise God just because He is God.
  7. Taking care of the needs of the saints.
    We are committed to working together in order to meet all the needs of all the saints. None will go lacking.
  8. Equipping the saints for ministry.
    We are committed to nurturing and encouraging persons in the discovery and development of their spiritual gifts in a manner that maintains responsible accountability.
  9. Missions on Americana and foreign soil.
    We are committed to be instruments for spreading the gospel and meeting the needs of persons around the world.
  10. Leadership development.
    We are committed to supporting, nurturing and encouraging those who have been chosen by God to serve the body as leaders in a manner that maintains responsible accountability.
  11. Walking in love.
    We are committed to relating to each other in love at all times and in all situations.
Rev. Dr. Florence Canada
Dr. Florence E. Canada is an experienced educator and pastor. Her ministry is one of teaching, preaching, healing, deliverance, and prayer. Dr. Canada was born Richmond, Virginia. Her parents are Mr. George L. Canada and Mrs. Verline T. Canada.

Dr. Canada was reared in Warsaw, Virginia. She accepted Jesus Christ as her Savior at an early age and was baptized at New Zion Baptist Church in Warsaw, Virginia. She was licensed to preach the gospel by the Fifth Baptist Church in Richmond, Virginia (1991) and ordained by the Bethlehem Baptist Church in Richmond, Virginia (1994)... Read More

School of Prayer
The School of Prayer provides an opportunity for students to study about prayer and learn how to pray more effectively, while at the same time receiving the minstry of prayer themselves.
